Dorothy
K. Foster is the owner of the Seattle and
Bainbridge Island law firm of Foster Law
Group, PLLC, where she practices in the areas
of estate planning and nonprofit tax-exempt
organizations, with emphases in international
estate planning and private
foundations/supporting organizations. She
holds a master�s degree in English from
Washington State University and a master�s
degree in Linguistics from the University of
Colorado.
She graduated with distinction from the
University of Nebraska School of Law where she
was a Regents Law Scholar, a member of the
Order of Coif and Research Editor of the Nebraska
Law Review.
She is former Trustee of the King
County Bar Foundation and Adjunct Professor of
the University Washington School of Law,
Graduate Tax Program.
Ms. Foster is a certified mediator and
is a member of the Taxation, Real
Property/Probate and International sections of
the Washington State and American Bar
Associations and a member of the International
Bar Association; and a Fellow of the Society
of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Kandis Staffanson is a contract legal assistant with more than
20 years of experience in managing complex probate and estate planning matters. Her experience includes all phases of estate and trust administration (probate, non-probate and absentee estates):
Initial meeting with the client, filing of federal and state estate tax returns, assisting with estate tax audits, funding of trusts, distribution of assets, and closing the estate.

Bridgette Knoll has been law office
manager of Foster Law Group since March, 2004.
She is studying as a paralegal in the areas of
estate planning, probate, and nonprofit
administration. She has an Associate of Arts
Degree from Seattle Central Community College
and was elected 1998 Business Student of the
Year. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts
degree from Washington State University. She
has extensive business experience as
operations manager, accounts receivable
assistant and insurance associate.
